Recognized globally for his proficiency in hadith research and as a leading authority in Islamic manuscripts, Shaykh Nizam's presence brought a profound depth of knowledge and experience to the gathering.
Trained under eminent sheikhs in Bahrain and Makkah, Shaykh Nizam Yaquby is not only versed in Islamic scholarship but also holds a Ph.D. in Islamic Law from the University of Wales. His academic background is further enhanced by a BA in Economics and Comparative Religion from McGill University in Canada. Shaykh Nizam's expertise extends beyond the realms of academia; he is a highly sought-after consultant for governmental and regulatory authorities in the field of Islamic finance. His extensive experience includes serving on over 40 Shariah boards of major financial institutions. Additionally, his role as a visiting lecturer at Harvard and as a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences worldwide, underlines his significant contribution to Islamic studies.
The gathering was further graced by Ustadh Yusuf Badr, who, upon the request of the Muhaddith of Bahrain, Sheikh Dr. Nizam Yaquby, opened the event with a recitation of the Holy Quran in the Hijaziyya style.
